RESIDENTIAL PARKING PERMITS

The high demand for parking in residential areas surrounding the University of Oregon, Skinner Butte Historical District and Downtown can make it difficult for people to find parking. To help address this problem the City of Eugene has established a parking program that designates special zones and rules for residential parking. For information where zones are designated please contact Parking Services at 682-5729.

All residential parking zone areas allow two-hour parking without a permit during designated times. All zone areas are posted with signs stating the time of day when the two-hour parking limit is enforced. With the appropriate zone permit, you may park beyond the posted time limits.

Residents whose property is in a designated zone A, B, C, D, E, or F area may be eligible to purchase a residential permit which allows residents to park beyond the posted time limits within the appropriate permit zone. Permits must be displayed on the left side of the rear bumper. Vehicles with permits that are not displayed correctly will be ticketed.

Residents can obtain these permits at Diamond Parking Services at 1297 High Street or by calling 343-3733, Monday - Friday.

Guest Permits
Guest permits are available free of charge to eligible Zone A, B, C, E, F and G residents. Visitors staying longer than two hours during the posted times will need a guest permit obtainable only by an eligible resident. Residents may obtain up to three guest permits at one time. Guest permits are issued at Diamond Parking Services. Residents not currently using the parking program must provide the required information (see initial requirements) to obtain a guest permit.

Requirements
- Current proof of residency with your name and address on it is required. An official piece of mail such as a recent utility bill, bank, or credit card statement is preferred. A lease/rental agreement will be accepted only on official letterhead or with the owner or management stamp. Generic stationery leases are not acceptable.

- Photo identification: driver's license, passport, or student ID card.
- Vehicle title or registration card with your license plate number for each vehicle for which you wish to have a permit. This must be in your name or your parent's name. Loaned vehicles are not eligible for permit. Temporary permits and title transfers will be reviewed on an individual basis.

Rates
Residential Permits are $20.00 per academic year and must be renewed each year by the October 1st expiration date. Guest Permits are available free of charge to eligible Zone A, B, C, E, F, and G residents.

Replacement of Renewal
It is the responsibility of residents to renew permits before the expiration date. Permits will be renewed in person at Diamond Parking Services, 1297 High Street, Eugene, OR 97401 when proof of eligibility is provided. (see initial requirements). At that time a new permit will be issued. If you sell a vehicle, remove the permit and bring it to Diamond Parking Services. The replacement fee will be $1.00.
